From the outset, Curtidos Lancina S.A. have been based in Igualada (Barcelona), well-known for its traditional tanning industry.

Founded in 1930 it is now in the hands of the third generation and is devoted to plant tanning using tannins from quebracho, acacia and chestnuts, producing soles and similar items for footwear and widening its product range to include new products from the fields of leather goods, riding equipment and industrial machinery, through the modernisation and adaptation of their facilities in accordance with the technological and environmental innovations which have taken place in the sector. At the present time they export 50% of their production.
